At long last, the final jewel of the Triple Crown is being contested in Palermo. Facundo Pieres and Ellerstina Etiqueta Negra already plucked the first two jewels at Tortugas and Hurlingham, so a victory in the 117th Polo Championship would complete the crown. Standing in their way in Group B are the Astradas of La Aguada BMW, who lost a heartbreaker to Adolfo Cambiaso and La Dolfina Peugeot in the Semis at Hurlingham. La Dolfina then went on to lose the final to Ellerstina, a match in which Cambiaso did not score, so Team Peugeot is looking to rebound at Palermo.
La Dolfina notched an impressive 18-12 victory over Sao Jose Audi in the first round at Palermo, and they face off against Chapa Uno Hope Funds this afternoon at 16:30. The early match at 14:00 pits Pilara Piaget against Sao Jose. Group B action on Sunday will feature La Aguada BMW and Alegria Air France in the first match and Ellerstina v. Chapa II in the second.
