Uruguay 360

Uruguay360 offers a panoramic view of InvestBA favorite, the beaches of La Paloma.

We saw earlier this week how better coordination and public/private cooperation are yielding record levels of wine and expo tourism for Argentina.

Across the river in Uruguay, on pace to hit a record 3,000,000 inbound visitors this year, technology is also playing a key role thanks to a new website offering breathtaking views of some of the country’s most emblematic buildings, hotels and beaches.

Uruguay360.com.uy is “the first virtual tour website in Uruguay. Here you will discover the leading tourist destinations in the country, as well as the best places to stay and go out from hotels to restaurants, nightclubs, bars and shopping centers. Our goal is to be the online presentation menu for Uruguay for current and future visitors, as well as for all Uruguayans living abroad.”

According to El Pais, the website has received over a million page views and the leading countries in terms of page views reflect the leading sources of visitors to Uruguay: Argentina, Brazil, Spain and the United States. As part of their emerging revenue model, Uruguay360’s Agustin Sartorio tells El Pais the site will begin offering its 360° services to Uruguay property owners who wish to rent or sell their properties.
